Review & Description
Following the death of his Uncle Billy, 11-year-old Curtis Hodge signs on to help his Aunt Ev with the upkeep of her sizeable piece of land. Before long, Curtis' best friend Devin sees a shot at an ideal summer, and heads up the construction of Fort Billy in the forest of Aunt Ev's property. But the forest isn't empty. Mean teen Alex Ortner, and his pal Mikey have already claimed it as their turf, and seize Fort Billy as their own. When a twist of fate leaves Alex at Curtis' mercy, Curtis and Alex have to decide who they really want to be and how to deal with the fallout from their decisions.
